The Borden Family Papers Has Moved

You may have noticed that I am no longer posting the Borden Papers on the McManigle Blog.  I have decided to make a new Borden Papers Blog.  I thought it might be best to keep the two project separate.  I have posted a couple already and will try to start the letters tomorrow.

  1. Thanks for the heads up on Eastman's post. I have yet to get a family tree software (heresy for a family historian!) but it's one of my goals this summer and I'm glad to get the nudge from your post!

  2. PS -- handsome family in that banner photo. Interesting how still everyone had to be. Only the baby couldn't be commanded to "be still." I enjoy seeing her (his?)movement captured.

  3. Hi Linda, thank you for stopping by! ~smiles~ I have used Legacy Family Tree [http:/www.legacyfamilytree.com for many years, I have tried Family Tree Maker, Master Genealogist, and recently Roots Magic. Roots Magic comes close, but I still think Legacy Family Tree is the very best. There is a free version that is available on their website, of course it does not have all the bells and whistles. Give it a try and if I can help at all, please let me know.

  4. Thank you Linda, yes, I love that picture! The baby is my Great Grandmother, Emma Louise McManigle, I think she is probably a couple months old, so the years is about 1892. She was probably putting up quite the fuss! ~laughs~
